The National Water Company (NWC) issued a news release today urging customers to prioritize verifying their water meter information. This crucial step ensures accurate billing, maintains uninterrupted service delivery, and effectively prevents potential disputes between property owners and tenants, the NWC said.
By verifying meter information, NWC aims to establish a direct link between the water meter and the actual beneficiary, the property owner or the tenant.
This direct link facilitates seamless communication between NWC and customers, enabling the company to promptly send relevant notifications, such as billing information and service updates.
Furthermore, verified meter information empowers beneficiaries with greater control over their water services.
They can conveniently access and manage their accounts through the NWC mobile app or website.
This includes receiving timely invoices, monitoring water consumption, and receiving notifications regarding potential high water usage.
According to the NWC news release, the verification process is straightforward.
Customers can access the NWC mobile app or website and select the water meter accounts they wish to verify.
They then need to confirm their relationship with the account, whether they are the owner or the beneficiary.
For properties with newly installed water meters, owners can easily add their meters to the system and specify their relationship to the property.
NWC said the meter remains linked to the property owner for properties with shared water meters.
In the case of rental properties with independent meters, the verification process is facilitated through the IJAR platform. Upon the termination of a tenancy, the water meter automatically reverts back to the property owner's ownership.
NWC has emphasized the significance of this verification process, highlighting that failure to verify may disrupt the continuity of water services.
To ensure a smooth and efficient experience, NWC encourages all customers to utilize its official channels, including the mobile app and website (e.nwc.com.sa), for assistance with the verification process.
