The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), on Thursday launched a project to distribute 500 tons of dates to Palestinian refugees and the host community in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The launch was attended by Saudi Deputy Ambassador to Jordan Mohammed bin Hassan Mones.

The Secretary-General of the JHCO Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli, affirmed that 2,000 tons of dates were distributed last year, benefiting 1,512,000 individuals across all governorates, praising the depth of the fraternal relations between Jordan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of humanitarian work.

The director of KSrelief's branch in Jordan noted that the implementation of this project aims to enhance food security and improve the living conditions of the targeted groups. He said the dates will be distributed through implementing partners from approved charities to ensure the aid reaches the beneficiaries.

This initiative is part of the ongoing relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief, to support refugees and those in need, alleviate their suffering, and establish the concept of food security as a humanitarian and developmental priority.
