
HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, paid an official visit to the Republic of Korea, where he was received at the airport by the Prime Minister of Korea Han Duk-soo.
HRH the Crown Prince met with President Yoon Suk-yeol and held an official session of talks. Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol welcomed the visit of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to Korea, and expressed his happiness with the distinguished relations between the two countries in all fields.
HRH conveyed to the Korean President the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who wished His Excellency good health and happiness and the Korean people further progress and prosperity.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the bilateral relations, stressing the importance of enhancing joint work and pushing the strategic partnership between the two countries to new and promising horizons, continuing to expand the scope of cooperation between the Kingdom and Korea in all aspects of bilateral relations, and establishing a strategic partnership with a future orientation to strengthen the bilateral ties, which extend for more than 60 years.
HRH the Crown Prince also highlighted the pivotal role of the Saudi-Korean Vision 2030 Committee in moving forward to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, and the role played by the joint vision in creating an umbrella that contributes to achieving partnerships between the two sides through qualitative economic, social and cultural initiatives and projects.
HRH the Crown Prince also reiterated his keenness to support opportunities for investment integration between the two countries in various sectors, including industry, renewable energy, communications and information technology, health, technology and innovation, transportation and logistics, tourism, sports and culture.
HRH also welcomed cooperation with Korea in the implementation of the huge projects being implemented in the Kingdom, and the infrastructure works related to these projects, most importantly the NEOM project, encouraging major Korean companies to invest and establish regional headquarters for them in the Kingdom.
HRH the Crown Prince also referred to the importance of strategic cooperation between the two countries in various fields of energy, and the efforts to develop a framework to organize and enable innovation in energy and artificial intelligence projects that include supporting research projects, new operating models, establishing a system and joint incubators for energy-related entrepreneurship, and providing support to promote innovation and artificial intelligence in clean energy.
