Civil Defense Warns of Thunderstorms Across Saudi Arabia from Friday to Monday

The General Directorate of Civil Defense has urged the public to exercise caution and remain in safe locations, avoiding areas prone to flash floods and valleys, and refraining from swimming in them.

This advisory comes in light of forecasts predicting thunderstorms across most regions of the Kingdom from tomorrow, Friday, through Monday.
The directorate said that Makkah Region is expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash floods, hail, and dust storms.

Meanwhile, Riyadh will be affected by light to moderate rain accompanied by dust storms.

The directorate added that the regions of Madinah, Al-Jouf, Northern Borders, Hail, Qassim, Eastern, Al-Baha, Aseer, and Jazan are expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall, while Tabuk will see light to moderate rain.
