The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet’s Holy Mosque has prepared 80 praying areas to receive worshippers during Ramadan, where several doors were opened for entrance and exit.

The main door of King Abdullah Door (No. 100), and doors 104, 106, 112, 173, 175, 176 of the northern side, and doors 114, 116, 119, 121, 123 of the western side, and doors 162, 165, 169 of the eastern side, where all these doors serve all ways leading to the third Saudi expansion at the Grand Holy Mosque.

Director General of the Northern Expansion Eng. Walid Al-Masudi noted that the doors allocated by the general presidency facilitate the access of worshippers to praying areas at the ground and first floor, and the first mezanine and the second, which represent 95 per cent of the total capacity of the building that can accommodate 300,000 worshippers, and if all internal praying areas are full, the northern yards can be used with their capacity standing at 280,000 worshippers, in addition to using the western yards adjacent to the building.
