Saudi Arabia Sends More Aid to Tunisia to Help it Fight Pandemic

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz ordered on Friday that more health aid be sent to Tunisia to help it fight the coronavirus pandemic.

Tunisian President Kais Saied expressed his gratitude to King Salman for his generous gesture; underscoring the Kingdom's support to his country during the pandemic.

In a telephone call with Saied; King Salman said Saudi Arabia was closely monitoring the developments in Tunisia; stressing the Kingdom's keenness on its security and stability.

Saudi Arabia stands by Tunisia as it grapples with the health crisis also caused by the pandemic; he also added.

He said Riyadh will dispatch more aid to Tunisia to help its health sector meet the people's needs.

Saied said the gesture "reflects the depth of historic relations" that bind their countries.

Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah said the new batch of aid will also include 3;000 oxygen cylinders and five medical oxygen generators to Tunisian hospitals.
