Saudi Arabia Bans Importing Cigarette Packs to the Kingdom unless having obtained Tax Stamps

Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) affirmed that it will ban importing cigarette packs unless they have obtained effective and valid tax stamps to the Kingdom in collaboration with the Saudi Customs starting from Friday, August 23, 2019.

This decision comes in line with rulings ofimplementing regulations of the selective tax relating to tax stamps withinframework of the GCC Unified Agreement on selective tax.
