Saudi Arabia, Bahrain Activate E-connection for Health Passport

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Kingdom of Bahrain today in Riyadh signed a memorandum of understanding to activate the health passport and achieve integration between the Saudi Tawakkalna application and BeAware Bahrain application to facilitate the movement of passengers, whether they are citizens or residents, between the two countries through the King Fahd Causeway, and verify their commitment to health conditions adopted as part of the two kingdoms' efforts in combating the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

President of the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi and CEO of Bahrain's Information and e-Government Authority Mohammed Ali Al-Qaed signed the memorandum in the presence of officials from both countries.

This cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain aims at ensuring the application of preventive and monitoring procedures.
