SASO Signs Two Cooperation Programs with Counterparts in Senegal, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan

The Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO) has signed two technical cooperation programs with counterparts in Senegal and Kyrgyzstan. SASO also signed an executive action plan with Pakistan to activate a technical cooperation program that the two sides had signed earlier.

The signing ceremonies were held on the sidelines of the meetings of the General Assembly of the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) , which are held at the King Salman International Convention Center in Madinah with the participation of officials from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), International Islamic Fiqh Academy, and the Gulf Cooperation Council Standardization Organization, in addition to representatives of several Islamic countries.

SASO signed two technical cooperation programs with each of the Senegalese Association for Standardization (ASN) and the Center for Standardization and Metrology affiliated with the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic (CSM), and signed an executive action plan for the technical cooperation program with Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA).

The technical cooperation programs aim at enhancing cooperation with counterpart institutions, boosting joint technical action and contributing to enhancing trade exchange through reducing technical obstacles in the trade movement.
