Riyadh hosts 6th International Conference on Radiation Medicine

Dr. MajedAl- Fayyadh, Chief Executive Officer of the General Organization at King FaisalSpecialist Hospital and Research Centre, inaugurated here today 6thInternational Conference on Radiation Medicine "ICRM2020" under atitle "Clinical Applications and Innovative Approaches" at Al-FaisalUniversity in Riyadh.

The ICRM2020is organized by King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre incollaboration with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Al-FaisalUniversity and the Saudi Society for Medical Radiologic Technology (SSMRT).

In hisspeech during the opening ceremony, Dr. Al-Fayyadh affirmed that the conferenceaims to bring together renowned clinicians, scientists and other health professionalsto share and discuss the latest advances and future innovative approaches inthe field of radiation in medicine. He added that the ultimate objective is tocreate an environment conducive to promoting basic science, applied research aswell as clinical applications in radiation medicine.

During thefive-day conference, this event is the largest in the Arab region and theMiddle East in the field of radiation medicine with participation of 50international lecturers and more than 60 local speakers. The conferenceincludes more than 69 workshops and 30 courses of continuing education in 13scientific fields.
