Absher launches new digital travel service for visitors entering Saudi Arabia by land

Absher has announced details of its new 'Absher Safar for Visitors' service, designed for travelers entering Saudi Arabia through land border crossings. The service enables visitors to complete travel requirements online, including submitting traveler and vehicle information, and allows for vehicle insurance to be arranged prior to arrival at the border.

The platform stated that the service is currently available and will become mandatory six months after its launch on the Absher app.

Both Gulf and non-Gulf visitors entering the Kingdom via land borders can use the service without needing to log in to the app.

To use the service, visitors should open the Absher app, select 'Absher Safar for Visitors' from the general services menu, choose their ID type, enter traveler and vehicle details, create a travel itinerary, select the border crossing and expected travel date, and complete the vehicle insurance process.
