Thunderstorms and rain forecast for five regions in Saudi Arabia on Sunday

Weather conditions across Saudi Arabia on Sunday, corresponding to 26-2-1448 in the Hijri calendar, will see continued chances of thunderstorms accompanied by hail over parts of Najran, Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Makkah. Strong winds raising dust and sand will persist in these areas, as well as in parts of Madinah and along the coastal road to Jazan.

Thunderstorm clouds bringing rain may also form over parts of the Eastern Province and Riyadh, with high temperatures continuing in these regions and in parts of the Northern Borders and Qassim.

For the Red Sea, surface winds will be active, shifting from northwesterly to southwesterly at speeds of 10–30 km/h, reaching up to 45 km/h over the central and southern parts, and up to 50 km/h with thunderstorm activity in the south.

Wave heights will range from half a meter to one meter in the north, and from half a meter to two meters in the central and southern parts, exceeding two meters during thunderstorms in the southern section.
