MWL Secretary General: Hajj ritual has no place for political slogans and sectarianism

The Secretary General of Muslim World League (MWL), Chairmanof the Board of Directors of the International Organization of Muslim Scholars,Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, said that Hajj ritual is a worshipthat should be performed by Muslim, warning against any breach or diverting itfrom its religious objectives like raising political and partisan slogans andsectarianism.

Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabiahas exploited its great potentials so that this ritual be performed in a spiritof faith and tranquility.

He noted that every Muslim knows that Hajj has a specificfunction in the religion limited to the performance of its rituals, and thatany act contrary to that is a transgression of the teachings of Islam.
