Makkah police: No crime suspected in Dakar Rally support team accident

The Makkah region police spokesman said that the preliminary investigations into the accident involving Dakar Rally support team

One Frenchman went to hospital after sustaining injuries while four of his compatriots in the vehicle escaped unhurt in the accident that occurred on Thursday; Dec. 30.

The vehicle of the support team that belongs to one of the drivers participating in the 2022 Dakar Rally involved in the accident. The rally kicked off from Jeddah on Saturday.

The spokesman said that the security authorities in the region have launched an investigation into the accident; the Saudi Press Agency reported.
