Heavy thunderstorms forecast across Saudi Arabia on Wednesday

Weather conditions across Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, 19-4-1448 (corresponding to the Islamic calendar), are expected to bring continued moderate to heavy thunderstorms, leading to flash floods, hail showers, and strong winds stirring dust and sand in parts of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Makkah, extending to parts of Madinah.

Fog formation is also possible in some of these regions, as well as along the eastern coastal areas.

Wednesday's weather outlook

There is also a chance of light to moderate thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds in parts of Hail, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and the Northern Borders region.

For the Red Sea, northwesterly to northerly surface winds will be active at 20–45 km/h in the northern part and 15–42 km/h in the central part, shifting in the evening to northeasterly to southeasterly at 10–32 km/h, reaching over 50 km/h with the formation of thunderclouds in the southern part.

Wave heights will range from one to two meters in the northern and central areas, and from half a meter to one and a half meters, rising above two meters with thunderstorms in the southern part.
