SDAIA outlines data scientist badge types and eligibility criteria

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has announced that its data scientist badges certify users' abilities in data analysis, insight extraction, and model development, in line with professional best practices, data governance principles, and responsible use.

SDAIA explained on X that the data scientist badges are offered at three levels: Assistant, Associate, and Expert.

The authority added that badges are awarded based on the following knowledge and skills:

• Statistical and mathematical foundations

• Model building and analysis

• Data collection, preparation, and quality assurance

• Insight extraction, data visualization, and communication

• Experimentation, causal inference, and result validation

• Professional practice and teamwork

• Responsible practices, ethics, and data governance
