Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority outlines steps for e-invoicing system outages

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has clarified the procedure to follow in the event of an emergency or technical malfunction that prevents the issuance of electronic invoices.

Through its 'Ask Zakat, Tax and Customs' account on the X platform, the authority stated that in case of a technical issue or emergency hindering electronic invoicing, businesses must contact their service provider or in-house technical team.

The authority emphasized the need to notify it via the 'Electronic Invoicing System Outage Notification' icon at the following link: zat.ca/X6StUd.

The authority added that after resolving the technical issue, businesses must notify the authority again using the same link and reissue any invoices that were previously issued on paper in electronic form.

This clarification came in response to a follower's inquiry: "When we upload invoices electronically, they are rejected. What is the reason?"
