Defense Ministry opens applications for military service for university graduates

The Ministry of Defense (Central Admission Committee) has announced the opening of applications for military service for the 1448 academic year, targeting university graduates holding bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees in various fields, including administration, technology, engineering, Islamic studies, medicine, and languages, as follows:

Admission requirements:

- Applicants must be Saudi nationals by birth and upbringing (except those born and raised abroad with their father for work, study, or vacation, provided they do not hold the nationality or passport of the country of birth).

- Must have good conduct and no criminal record for offenses involving honor or integrity.

- Must not have previously withdrawn or been dismissed from any military college, institute, or center for any reason.

- Age limits: not older than 27 for bachelor’s degree holders (except for doctors, who must not exceed 30), 30 for master’s degree holders, 33 for doctoral degree holders in all fields, and 35 for doctors with fellowship or board certification.

- Must have obtained their university degree through full-time study, with a minimum grade of “Good” in the required specialties.

- Must have taken the General Aptitude Test (Qiyas) for theoretical majors and provide proof.

- Minimum height is 165 cm, and height must be proportional to weight according to the medical chart.

- Must not be married to a non-Saudi woman.

- Medical and health specialty applicants must hold a license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

- Medical graduates must have completed their internship period.

- Must pass all admission procedures, including the personal interview, medical examination, and security clearance.

- Must not have epilepsy, asthma, or any other contagious diseases.

- Only medical reports issued by the medical committee of the Central Admission Committee for Military Colleges and the University Graduates Admission Committee are accepted. Medical examination results are final, and applicants cannot request a re-examination or an explanation for medical ineligibility.
