Hot weather, strong winds and rain expected across parts of Saudi Arabia

The National Center of Meteorology has forecast in its daily weather report that temperatures will remain hot to extremely hot in the Eastern Province, with a chance of light rain in southern parts of the region. Active winds raising dust and sand are expected to continue affecting parts of the Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, Tabuk, and Madinah, potentially reducing horizontal visibility in areas of Riyadh, Najran, and the eastern parts of the western and southwestern highlands. There is also a continued chance of thunderstorms, accompanied by hail and strong winds, over parts of the highlands in Makkah, Al-Baha, Asir, Jazan, and Najran.

The report noted that surface winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to southwesterly at speeds of 10-30 km/h, reaching over 50 km/h with the formation of thunderclouds in the southern part. Wave heights will range from half a meter to one and a half meters, exceeding two meters in some areas, especially with thunderclouds in the northern part. Sea conditions will be generally slight, becoming rough with thunderclouds in the south.

Surface winds over the Arabian Gulf will be northwesterly to northeasterly at 13-27 km/h, with wave heights from half a meter to one meter. Sea conditions will be slight.
