Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health recorded on Wednesday 159 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours; marking the lowest single-day infections in many months following the outbreak of the pandemic in the Kingdom.
The Kingdom has reported less than 200 single-day COVID-19 cases four times in five days.
The ministry also reported 13 more deaths from complications caused by the virus over the past 24 hours.
This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 359,274 and the deaths to 6,002.
The ministry also reported 210 new recoveries over the past 24 hours; raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 349,624, with the recovery rate rising to 97.31 percent.
Of the new cases, the Riyadh region reported 65 cases; followed by the Makkah region with 24 and the Madinah region with 22 cases.
The Najran region recorded just 1 case while Baha none. The remaining cases were detected in different other regions of the Kingdom.
The active cases in the Kingdom also dropped to 3,648 out of which 550 were critical cases.
