Britain confirms Israeli settlements as illegal according to international law

The United Kingdom of Britain confirmed on Thursday that its position towards the Israeli settlements is unequivocal.

In a statement, an official source of the British foreignoffice said that those Israeli settlements are illegal according tointernational law, constitute an obstacle before achieving peace in the regionand threaten the possibility of reaching the two-state solution, calling, atthe same time, on Israel to halt its expansionist practices which could conduceto negative results.
