A number ofmedia representatives taking part in the media coverage of the forthcoming GCC,Arab and Islamic summits, scheduled to be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabiaunder the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Makkah, on Thursdaypaid tribute to the Kingdom for its initiative to host two extraordinary GCCand Arab summits to coincide with the 14th Islamic summit.
Instatements to the Saudi Press Agency on the eve of the GCC and Arab summits,they lauded the Kingdom's pioneering role in the service of the issues of theArab and Islamic nations, citing the facilities rendered by the Ministry ofMedia for them to provide world-class coverage of those three significantevents amid the challenges facing the region.
Theyunderlined the Kingdom's call for uniting the ranks of the Arab and Islamicworlds to ward off the dangers posed by terrorism and extremism.
Among thoseinterviewed were Abdulrahman Elameen, editor in chief of Sudan's Al-Sayhanewspaper; Lebanon's journalists association and editor-in-chief of Al-Sharqnewspaper Ouni Al-Kaaki; Egypt's chairman of the supreme council for mediaorganization Makram Mohammed Ahmed.
