Saudi Passports Directorate details how to add dependents via Absher

The General Directorate of Passports has introduced a new online service enabling expatriates to add family dependents through the Absher platform.

According to the Passports Directorate on X, residents can access this service by logging into the Absher website, selecting 'Family Members Services' under resident services, and then choosing the 'Add Dependent' option.

Separating a dependent

Absher also offers the 'Separate Dependent Record for Residents' service, which allows the head of a resident family to electronically separate a family member aged 18 or older from the family record. The service can be completed by following these steps:

Log in to the Absher platform.

Select 'Family Members Services.'

Choose 'Resident Services.'

Select the beneficiary.

Choose 'Separate Dependent.'

Updating a resident's photo

Absher has also explained how residents can update their personal photo for their resident ID electronically, allowing users to submit a request to update their photo through the Absher app.

To use this service, log in to the Absher app, select 'My Services,' and then choose 'Update Resident Photo.'
