Saudi passports authority outlines steps to correct Arabic name errors on iqama

Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports has clarified the procedure to follow if there is an error in the Arabic name on a residency permit, according to a post on its official X account.

The authority stated that if an Arabic name error is found on an iqama, the employer or an authorized representative must book an appointment and visit the Passports Department to request assistance.

This clarification came in response to a follower’s inquiry: “Hello, there is an error in my Arabic name on my iqama. How can I correct it?”

Reporting a lost resident ID

The General Directorate of Passports has also outlined six steps for reporting a lost resident ID through the Muqeem portal.

According to its official X account, organizations can report the loss of a resident ID for their affiliated residents via the portal by following these steps:

1 - Log in to the Muqeem portal

2 - Search for the resident

3 - Enter the resident ID number

4 - View the resident’s profile

5 - Select passport services

6 - Choose the option to report a lost resident ID
