Saudi singer Dalia Mubarak announces retirement from music

Saudi singer Dalia Mubarak officially announced her retirement from music on Wednesday in an emotional message shared via Instagram Stories. She stated that her final artistic project will be with Lama Qais, winner of the fourth season of 'The Voice Kids,' and Karma, another contestant from the show.

Dalia wrote: "I am announcing my retirement from music. My last work will be with my 'children' and dear ones, Karma and Lama Qais from The Voice Kids. After that, I am officially retiring from music. Thank you to everyone who supported me from the beginning of my career until today, from the heart."

Dalia explained that her decision came after "music took much of her spirit, health, and humanity." She apologized to everyone who believed in her, saying she could no longer continue. Addressing her fans, she added: "I love you, and it breaks my heart to announce this news. Believe me, I can no longer go on. I love you, and I am sorry to disappoint you."

Dalia Mubarak began singing at an early age, participating in musical operettas as a child. Her professional career took off with the release of her song "Galabt Al-Tawla" on YouTube in 2014, which achieved notable success. She went on to release several albums, including: "Min Al Akher" (2016), "Fi Hayatak Mustaheel" (2019), "11:11" (2023), and "Basmah" (2024).

Challenges and experiences in her career

Dalia Mubarak faced numerous challenges throughout her musical journey. In a March interview with Billboard Arabia, she revealed she had experienced professional setbacks and draining personal relationships, in her own words. She noted that she had previously considered retirement, but her participation as a judge on the panel of 'The Voice Kids' felt like a "divine sign" to continue singing.

In April, Dalia decided to postpone a new album she had been preparing, following a thorough review of its final stages, according to a clarification from her media office. She later released the Egyptian dialect single "Bighayr Aleih," written by Amr Al-Masri and composed and arranged by Amr Al-Khodary, in July.
