Saudi passports authority enables online iqama renewal abroad via Absher

The General Directorate of Passports has announced that expatriates outside Saudi Arabia can now renew their iqama (residency permit) online through the Absher platform.

According to a statement posted on X, the service covers dependents of residents and domestic workers, allowing them to renew their residency permits without returning to the Kingdom.

For domestic workers, the renewal process begins by logging into the Absher website, selecting 'Labor Services,' then 'Resident Services,' choosing the beneficiary, and finally selecting 'Renew Iqama.'

For dependents, users should log into Absher, select 'Family Member Services,' then 'Resident Services,' choose the beneficiary, and proceed to renew the iqama.

The General Directorate of Passports emphasized that the service is subject to the approved terms and conditions.
