How to change a child's first name online via Absher

Absher now enables Saudi citizens to change their own or their child's first name easily online, without the need to visit Civil Affairs offices.

Changing the first name on Absher

The platform explained that citizens can conveniently change their own first name or the first name of a child under 18 electronically through Absher.

The steps to use the service are as follows:

• Log in to the Absher website

• Select Civil Affairs services from the "My Services" menu

• Choose the name modification services

• Select the first name change service

Requesting a replacement family record

Absher also clarified that citizens can easily request a replacement family record online through Absher, without visiting Civil Affairs offices, by following these steps:

• Log in to the Absher platform

• Select Civil Affairs services

• Choose family record services

• Select the option to request a replacement for a damaged family record

The service will display a welcome page with its terms and conditions. After selecting "New Request," the system will show the family record details.
