Musaned outlines rules for replacement domestic worker visas

The official Musaned platform account has reiterated the purpose of the replacement visa service, as well as the main professions eligible for this service.

Conditions for issuing a replacement visa

Musaned explained on its official X account that a replacement visa may be issued if a domestic worker leaves Saudi Arabia on a final exit within 90 days of their initial arrival.

The service covers several professions, including:

• Female domestic worker

• Male domestic worker

• Private driver

Reasons for replacement visa rejection

Several factors may lead to the rejection of a replacement visa, including:

1- Exceeding the permitted number of visas according to domestic worker recruitment regulations. There is a maximum number of visas allowed per applicant, including issued, active, and requested visas.

2- Outstanding traffic violations registered against the applicant.

3- Exceeding the probation period (90 days from the worker’s arrival). The worker must depart within the allowed probation period to qualify for a replacement visa.

4- The worker’s status must be recorded as “final exit” in the Absher system to obtain a replacement visa.

5- Previous compensation for a visa. Compensation is granted only once for each visa that has been issued and used.
