“Making a Map of the World Using Plastic Covers” Initiative Registered at Guinness Book of Records

The Guinness Book of Records has announced registering the "Making a Map of the World Using Plastic Covers" Initiative as the biggest map in the world, which is one of the programs and initiatives of the Ministry of Sports that aims at preserving the environment in Jeddah.

This initiative is one of the activities of the Saudi Ministry of Sports in supporting the environment in accordance with the Quality of Life Program, where the international certificate for this achievement, created by Kholoud Al-Fadli, was handed over during the concluding ceremony of preserving the environment program from plastic covers, in the presence of director of the branch of the Ministry of Sports in Jeddah Abdulaziz bin Abboud.

It is worth mentioning that implementing this project took 40 days with the participation of more than 30 volunteers, where the area of the map stood at 244 square meters with the use of about 300,000 plastic covers that were arranged in the form of the world map on the grounds of the Global Knowledge School.
