Tesla recalls 20,000 vehicles in US over headlight brightness issue

The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced on Tuesday that Tesla has recalled 20,349 vehicles in the United States due to a headlight issue that could cause them to be excessively bright, potentially impairing the vision of oncoming drivers and increasing the risk of accidents.

The agency stated that the recall affects certain Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, adding that a final solution has not yet been determined, according to Reuters.

This action comes amid ongoing regulatory scrutiny over the safety of Tesla vehicles. In July, the agency launched a preliminary investigation into about 1.2 million Tesla cars following reports of suspension system failures that could lead to a loss of steering control.
