Saudi startup unveils innovative service robot at LEAP 2026

The LEAP 2026 conference is highlighting a pioneering Saudi technology in artificial intelligence and robotics through a robot named RoboNex, which combines the roles of cashier and service host for restaurants and cafés. RoboNex interacts in real time with customers, takes their orders, and offers smart recommendations.

The robot was developed entirely in the Kingdom, from designing its structure and engineering components to programming controllers, developing AI algorithms, and building voice processing and real-time interaction systems. It is also integrated with point-of-sale systems and electronic payment gateways.

RoboNex can process sales transactions, receive orders, and suggest additional products based on the shopping cart contents. It also displays discounts and promotional offers during the purchase process.

The presence of robots at LEAP 2026 reflects the growing adoption of artificial intelligence across various sectors, as these technologies move from experimental models to practical applications in business, services, and retail.
