National Center for Mental Health Promotion launches 2026 World Mental Health Day campaign

The National Center for Mental Health Promotion has launched a nationwide campaign to mark World Mental Health Day 2026, observed annually on October 10, under the theme 'Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change,' with participation from various sectors and relevant organizations.

The campaign aims to establish mental health as a fundamental part of overall health and quality of life, raise awareness about the importance of prevention and early detection of psychological and behavioral changes, encourage timely access to specialized support, and reduce the stigma associated with mental health.

The initiative highlights the importance of listening to people with lived experiences and leveraging their insights and needs to improve services and practices, thereby enhancing the beneficiary experience and supporting integrated mental health care—from awareness, prevention, and early detection to diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and follow-up.

The Center explained that the campaign focuses on making mental health services more accessible by integrating them across levels of healthcare and offering both in-person and digital service channels, which will help improve service quality and continuity.

Through leading this campaign, the Center seeks to unify and strengthen national efforts to mark the occasion, and to encourage government, private, non-profit, educational, and social sectors to implement targeted programs and initiatives, based on the principle that promoting mental health is a shared responsibility requiring collaboration and the creation of more supportive and aware environments.

Strengthening partnerships and raising community awareness

The campaign builds on the National Center for Mental Health Promotion’s ongoing role in raising community awareness, fostering partnerships and integration between sectors, and supporting national initiatives that enhance psychological well-being and quality of life, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
