Qassim authorities develop Jabal Al-Murqab as tourist destination in Uyun Al-Jawaa

The Qassim Municipality, through the Uyun Al-Jawaa Municipality, is preparing Jabal Al-Murqab to become an attractive tourist and social destination, capitalizing on its elevated location and natural and historical features. The project aims to enhance the experience for residents and visitors and boost tourism in the governorate.

Uyun Al-Jawaa Mayor Eng. Falah Al-Jabreen explained that developing the mountain is part of the municipality’s efforts to upgrade sites of natural and historical value, highlighting Jabal Al-Murqab’s prominent elevation and panoramic views of the local landscape.

Al-Jabreen added that the mountain is a landmark tied to the history of Uyun Al-Jawaa, having been used in the past for surveillance purposes. Its high vantage point now offers opportunities to enjoy nature, scenic views, and engage in social and recreational activities.

The development works aim to increase the site’s appeal and enable residents and visitors to benefit from it for leisure and various activities, while preserving its natural character and identity and strengthening its presence among the governorate’s tourist destinations.
