Hawi platform surpasses 111,000 members and 3,500 hobby clubs in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia’s Hawi platform, part of the Quality of Life Program, continues to grow, now boasting over 111,000 members and 3,500 hobby clubs nationwide.
Key Takeaways
AISaudi Arabia’s national hobbies platform, Hawi, an initiative under the Quality of Life Program, has continued its expansion across the Kingdom, reaching 111,167 members, 3,533 hobby clubs, and 4,123 events covering 233 different hobbies. This growth reflects the widening base of hobby enthusiasts and the rise of organized communities, supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Hawi aims to develop the hobby sector and empower enthusiasts by providing a structured environment for individuals to establish and join hobby clubs, organize activities and events, access suitable spaces and facilities, and connect with others who share similar interests. The platform also fosters partnerships with government, private, and non-profit organizations to enhance community participation and diversify quality of life options.
Khaled bin Abdullah Al-Bakr, CEO of the Quality of Life Program Center, said: “What we are witnessing today goes beyond the growth in the number of clubs and members; the real value lies in transforming a hobby from an individual interest into a community united by shared passion, offering space for communication, learning, participation, and the creation of initiatives.”
He added: “We see each hobby club as a micro-community that creates an impact beyond the hobby itself, from building social relationships and discovering talents to transferring knowledge and expertise and enhancing community engagement.”
In the coming phase, Hawi aims to further expand the base of clubs and hobbies across Saudi cities and governorates, strengthen club sustainability and the quality of their activities, and enable clubs to offer more diverse experiences to their members, contributing to more active and engaged communities.
