Buraidah joins global quality of life initiative

Buraidah has joined the Global Quality of Life Initiative, supervised by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), aiming to enhance the use of data, indicators, and residents’ feedback to monitor the city’s status and draw on daily experiences to support urban development.

Naif Al-Nefaie, spokesperson for the Qassim Municipality, said Buraidah’s participation reflects a commitment to making residents key partners in the city’s development and in improving quality of life. He noted that listening to the community and understanding their needs is a vital foundation for building a more suitable urban environment that meets residents’ aspirations.

He added that the initiative will help maximize the use of data, indicators, and public input to develop services and facilities and improve the urban environment, supporting Buraidah’s quality of life objectives.

He affirmed that the Qassim Municipality continues its efforts to develop Buraidah and enhance quality of life through projects and initiatives that address community needs and contribute to building a more inclusive, sustainable, and competitive city.

This step is part of the Qassim Municipality’s ongoing focus on sustainable urban planning for Buraidah, through various programs and studies in cooperation with relevant service agencies, to further develop the city and improve quality of life.
