Severe reactions after medication require emergency care, expert warns

Family medicine consultant Dr. Fahad Al-Anzi has warned that severe allergic reactions, difficulty breathing, skin rashes, yellowing of the eyes, or ulcers after taking certain medications require immediate notification of a doctor and a visit to the emergency room.

Speaking to Al Ekhbariya TV, he added that patients should never stop taking medication without consulting their doctor, as discontinuing some drugs, such as those for heart conditions or epilepsy, can lead to serious side effects.

Al-Anzi also noted that some very rare symptoms can, in some cases, be fatal.
