Schneider Electric acquires Al-Maysan Technical Services to boost local engineering in Saudi Arabia

• The acquisition strengthens Schneider Electric’s local capabilities in design, engineering, installation, commissioning, and project lifecycle services.

• It enhances the company’s presence and proximity to clients and projects, especially in the western region of Saudi Arabia.

• Builds on a longstanding partnership with Al-Maysan, previously a certified partner under Schneider Electric’s EcoXpert program.

Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy technologies, announced today the completion of its acquisition of Al-Maysan Technical Services Ltd. (MTS), a Saudi engineering company based in Jeddah specializing in integrated, smart, and sustainable building control and automation systems. This strategic move will strengthen Schneider Electric’s local engineering capabilities and support its proximity to clients and projects across the Kingdom.

Under the deal, Al-Maysan is now wholly owned by Schneider Electric in Saudi Arabia. The acquisition expands Schneider Electric’s local expertise in design, engineering, installation, commissioning, as well as operations and maintenance services. This will enable the company to provide comprehensive support to clients throughout the lifecycle of their projects and bring it closer to customers and projects, particularly in the Kingdom’s western region.

Al-Maysan provides specialized engineering and technical services in smart buildings, industrial automation, data centers, and critical infrastructure. Its expertise includes building management systems, industrial automation and SCADA systems, energy metering, lighting control, data center solutions, fire protection and life safety systems, as well as security systems.

This acquisition builds on a long-term collaboration between the two companies. Prior to the deal, Al-Maysan was a certified partner of Schneider Electric under the EcoXpert program in building management and home automation. Years of cooperation have established a strong foundation of shared expertise in technology, engineering, and client relations.

Al-Maysan will continue to serve its existing clients, prioritizing service continuity, project delivery, and customer support throughout its integration into Schneider Electric’s Saudi operations, ensuring a smooth transition and high service standards.

The acquisition reflects Schneider Electric’s ongoing presence and sustained investment in the Kingdom. The company has operated in Saudi Arabia for 45 years, with a team of around 700 employees based at its regional headquarters in Riyadh. Schneider Electric also operates three manufacturing sites in Riyadh, Dammam, and King Salman Energy City, producing over 20 products locally. In February 2023, the company launched the Energy Technology Academy for the Middle East and Africa from Riyadh, supporting the Human Capability Development Program and helping to develop local talent in energy and future technologies.
