Waleed Al-Tuwail, spokesperson for the National Center for Falcons, said the International Falcon Farms Auction has become a key driver of investment in the sector, strengthening partnerships, improving production quality, and bringing together investors and producers from around the world, which supports Saudi Arabia’s position as a global hub for falconry.

Al-Tuwail’s remarks coincide with the launch of the center’s first events in its new phase, as it organizes the auction from August 5 to 25 at its headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh.

Speaking to Al Ekhbariya TV, Al-Tuwail emphasized that the falcon auction is now a catalyst for investment in the sector, enhancing partnerships, raising production standards, and uniting investors and producers globally, further establishing the Kingdom as a world center for falconry.

The auction marks the first event for the National Center for Falcons in its new phase, following the Cabinet’s approval of the center’s updated structure, which aims to develop the falconry ecosystem, regulate and grow the sector, and reinforce Saudi Arabia’s global standing in falconry.

The auction will be held at the National Center for Falcons in Malham, north of Riyadh, from August 5 to 25. It will feature pavilions for both local and international falcon farms, falconry equipment, a “Future Falconer” section, interactive shows, and a live auction platform for elite falcon breeds.

The event attracts falconers from across the globe and offers a chance to discover top falcons bred locally and internationally. The National Center for Falcons has announced that all competition rounds will be dedicated to the "chick" category of falcons sold at the auction.
