China set to dominate over half of global robotics market by 2026

China has taken the lead in the global humanoid robotics sector, having developed more than 400 fully integrated products of this type—representing over half of all such robots worldwide, according to data released by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The ministry stated that this achievement reflects China's rapid expansion in the robotics sector, which is considered one of the most prominent fields linked to artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing.

The data also indicated that Chinese companies accounted for around 70% of global sales of quadruped robots during the first half of 2026, further solidifying China's position in the global robotics market.

This growth comes as part of China's ongoing investments in artificial intelligence and robotics technologies, with a focus on developing advanced industrial and service applications to support digital transformation and enhance the competitiveness of the country's technology sector.
