Speech therapist Mundher Al-Osaimi has outlined the necessary steps to address bilingualism and speech delays in children.

Speaking during an interview broadcast on Al Ekhbariya channel, Al-Osaimi said that focusing on the home language, regularly talking with the child, naming surrounding objects in simple language, and reading picture books all help enhance a child's ability to express themselves and interact. He also stressed the importance of giving children opportunities to express themselves and focusing on correct language use.

Al-Osaimi added that these steps require patience and consistency, as well as strict adherence to the "screen rule," which prohibits any screen time for children under two years old, especially mobile phones. For children aged three to five, screen time should be limited to a maximum of one hour per day, divided throughout the day and restricted to educational and informative content under parental supervision.
