Jazan University ranks globally in five fields in 2026 Shanghai ranking

Jazan University has achieved a new academic milestone, with five of its disciplines included in the 2026 Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities. This reflects the university’s progress in academic and research performance and strengthens its presence in international rankings.

Civil engineering, dentistry and oral sciences, and mathematics were ranked in the 201–300 global category. Pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences were listed in the 301–400 category, while clinical medicine was placed in the 401–500 category worldwide.

This achievement is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to develop its academic and research systems, improve the quality of its scientific output, support researchers and scientific publishing, and foster an environment that encourages research and innovation. These efforts aim to enhance the international competitiveness of its disciplines.

Jazan University stated that the inclusion of its disciplines in the ranking reflects the development of its academic and research programs, the focus on the quality and impact of scientific output, as well as support for faculty, researchers, and students, and the enhancement of resources that contribute to advancing scientific research.

This accomplishment further strengthens Jazan University’s position in the academic and research landscape and supports its goals to improve the quality of education, research, and innovation, and to develop human capabilities in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
