Saudi Arabia leads Middle East tourism destinations, guide says

Tour guide Turki Al-Bishri has said that Saudi Arabia is now the leading tourism destination in the Middle East.

Speaking to Al Arabiya FM, Al-Bishri noted that with current political developments and the growth of the tourism sector, new destinations are emerging. He pointed out that under Vision 2030, tourism is set to become the Kingdom’s second-largest source of income after oil.

He added that this includes the launch of major projects and extensive infrastructure development, as well as plans to host Expo and the World Cup. A comprehensive plan is being implemented with all government ministries to ensure the success of these events.

Saudi Arabia boasts a wealth of natural tourist attractions and has developed a strong infrastructure for the tourism sector, supported by security, stability, and government measures that encourage investment in this field.
