Abu Al-Houl Mountain in Hail draws tourists with unique rock formations

Abu Al-Houl Mountain, located in the village of Aba Al-Hiran about 120 kilometers southwest of Hail in the Aja mountain range, was formed over thousands of years by erosion and weathering. This process created a distinctive rock formation resembling a human head, giving the mountain its name and making it one of the region’s most prominent natural and tourist attractions.

Researcher in ancient history and astronomy, Mishari Al-Nashmi, explained that the mountain features remarkable geological diversity, with a variety of rock shapes and sizes surrounding it. He noted that these formations resulted from the interplay of physical and chemical weathering, along with the effects of rain and humidity over long periods, creating unique natural scenes that change depending on the viewing angle and distance.

Additionally, the site of Abu Al-Houl Mountain is rich in diverse geological phenomena, further enhancing its natural value and making it a popular destination for rock formation enthusiasts and visitors to the Hail region.
