Professor Alexander Gintsburg, scientific director of Russia's Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, has announced a new immunotherapy treatment for cancer.

According to Gintsburg, the new therapy could eliminate several types of cancer within three to six years, as reported by Russia Today, citing RIA Novosti.

He explained that the promising results target melanoma (skin cancer), small cell lung cancer, bladder cancer, and colorectal cancer.

Gintsburg noted that it is not yet possible to make such claims for all cancer types, but expressed confidence that these results can be achieved for the specified cancers within the stated timeframe with a reasonable degree of certainty.
