The National Falconry Center has announced the opening of registration for falcons to participate in the 2026 King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival, which will be held at the center’s headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, from November 17 to 30. Falconers are invited to complete registration procedures according to the specified schedule for each stage.

The registration period is part of the center’s preparations to organize the festival, which is considered the world’s largest gathering of falcons and one of the most prominent international events dedicated to preserving and celebrating the heritage of falconry.

The festival features the Al-Milwah and Mazayen competitions, bringing together Saudi and international falconers to compete for prizes exceeding 38 million riyals (SAR), the largest prize pool for falconry competitions globally. Titles include the King Abdulaziz Cups, the “King’s Shalfa,” and the “King’s Sword.”

The center explained that registration and falcon activation are available through its online platform, with registration open from October 22 to November 2. In-person registration for new “Qaranis” falcons and ownership transfers will be available from October 29 to 31, between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., at the center in Malham.

The review and processing of registration applications will take place online from November 3 to 5. International participants can register in person from November 17 to 23, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., with account verification via the center’s platform.

Registration for the Mazayen competition is available both in person and online throughout the festival, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration for each category closes one day before its scheduled round.
