Eastern Province governor to patronize 2026 Handicrafts and Artisans Exhibition in September

Governor Saud bin Nayef of the Eastern Province will patronize the 2026 Handicrafts and Artisans Exhibition, organized by the Asharqia Chamber from September 1 to 4 at Dhahran International Exhibitions Center in Alkhobar.

Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Faraj, Chairman of the Asharqia Chamber, said the governor's patronage reflects his ongoing support for the chamber's activities and programs, enabling it to continue supporting the region's business sector and its community contributions. This includes nurturing, refining, and developing the handicrafts sector and productive families.

He explained that the exhibition aims to develop the creative, professional, and managerial skills of artisans and visual artists, ensuring higher product quality and empowering them to showcase and market their work through organized channels that provide sustainable income. The event also encourages entrepreneurship through awareness programs, workshops, and targeted initiatives to serve this vital sector.

Now in its ninth edition, the exhibition demonstrates the chamber's commitment to supporting this key sector, which is considered an important economic and social pillar and a core element of Saudi Vision 2030. The initiative seeks to further develop the handicrafts sector, making it more organized and effective in supporting the national economy and strengthening the Kingdom's cultural identity.
