Ninth Al-Atawlah Heritage Festival opens today under Prince's patronage

Under the patronage of Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Emir (Governor) of Al-Baha Region, the ninth Al-Atawlah Heritage Festival will open this evening at the Quraysh Spring Market in Al-Qura governorate.

The festival is part of the Al-Baha Summer 2026 program, with participation from various government agencies, civil organizations, and the non-profit sector. It aims to highlight and preserve the region’s cultural and heritage legacy, and to promote it as a key tourism and cultural attraction in Al-Baha.

The festival features a range of heritage activities and programs that showcase traditional lifestyles, including stalls run by local families offering traditional clothing and popular foods. There will also be live demonstrations of stone construction and carving, traditional farming and harvesting practices, as well as areas dedicated to visual arts.

The heritage village in Al-Atawlah houses a museum with a variety of heritage artifacts, while the festival stage will host poetry evenings, cultural competitions, and performances of folk arts, reflecting the region’s cultural heritage and enhancing its appeal to visitors during the summer season.
