Al-Safa Park in Najran: natural oasis boosts quality of life, draws visitors

Nestled among mountains, Al-Safa Park in western Najran has become one of the region’s most prominent natural and recreational destinations, attracting both residents and visitors throughout the year.

Covering a total area of 109,662 square meters, the park features 56,513 square meters of green spaces and is home to more than 1,200 trees, shrubs, and palm trees. This reflects Najran Municipality’s commitment to increasing vegetation cover and promoting environmental sustainability.

The park also offers four dedicated children’s play areas, a variety of fitness equipment, and 203 decorative lighting poles that enhance the park’s beauty and provide a safe environment for visitors at night. Its advanced infrastructure includes spacious pedestrian areas and walkways covering 40,760 square meters, as well as service facilities, restrooms, a community center, two additional playgrounds for children, a scenic waterfall, and four family pavilions.

Abdullah Al-Fadhel, spokesperson for Najran Municipality, said the authority places great importance on developing parks and public gardens in line with goals to improve the urban landscape and enhance quality of life. This is achieved by creating integrated recreational spaces that meet residents’ aspirations and contribute to a safe and attractive urban environment.

He added that Al-Safa Park stands out as a unique tourism and leisure destination in Najran, thanks to its natural features and modern facilities, which the municipality is committed to maintaining and upgrading. He urged visitors to help preserve these environmental and aesthetic assets for future generations.
