Low clouds blanket Al-Baha mountains, creating stunning natural vistas

Low clouds on Tuesday blanketed large parts of the Sarawat Mountains and their slopes in the Al-Baha region, forming a carpet of white that stretched toward the Tihama sector, while the mountain peaks remained prominent above this striking natural scene.

The Saudi Press Agency captured panoramic images of clouds drifting through valleys and slopes, weaving among rocky formations and winding mountain roads, highlighting the geographical contrast between the highlands of the Sarawat and the areas leading to Tihama.

In some locations, clouds appeared below the peaks, offering sweeping views from lookout points that combined sharp mountain edges with roads cutting across the hillsides. At times, thick clouds obscured parts of the slopes before gradually revealing them as they moved through the valleys.

The mountainous terrain and elevation of the Sarawat Mountains contribute to the formation of clouds and fog—phenomena that frequently occur in the region and give Al-Baha ever-changing vistas that attract residents, visitors, and photography enthusiasts to scenic viewpoints to observe and document them.
