Kuwait Virus Death Toll Rises to 11

Kuwait registered on Tuesday two more deaths from the coronavirus, taking its toll to eleven.

Health ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah al-Sanad said the latest victims residents from Bangladesh and Somalia, aged 59 and 63 respectively.

They were receiving the necessary treatment at hospital intensive care units, he told a daily press briefing.

He also added that 58 new virus cases were reported in the country, raising the total to 2,080. Forty-six cases were intensive care, with 26 in stable and 20 in critical condition.

Earlier, Health Minister Dr. Bassel Al-Sabah announced that 45 patients have recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, taking the number to 412.

Oman, meanwhile, reported another virus death, raising its toll to eight.

The health ministry also said the newest fatality was a 53-year-old foreign resident.

The Sultanate registered 98 new infections, with its total now standing at 1,508.
